DEX Functionalities
Orvex provides a set of DEX functionalities designed to cover core trading needs while giving users and protocols meaningful control over liquidity and incentives. From simple token swaps to governance-driven emissions, Orvex is built to support active participation in the Status ecosystem.
Key functionalities include:
-
Token swapping:
Swap supported tokens through Orvex pools with routing optimised for price and slippage. -
Providing liquidity:
Supply liquidity to Orvex pools (concentrated and stable/volatile) to earn trading fees and emissions. -
Locking ORVX into veORVX:
Lock ORVX to receive veORVX, increasing your governance power and access to protocol incentives. -
Voting for rewards:
Use veORVX to vote on gauges and help decide how emissions are allocated across liquidity pools. -
External incentives (“bribes”):
Protocols and users can add additional incentives on top of emissions to attract veORVX votes to specific gauges.
Locking ORVX and participating in gauge voting are central to the Orvex design.
They enable users and protocols to:
- Direct emissions towards strategic pools
- Earn a share of fees and external incentives tied to those pools
- Help shape how liquidity is distributed across the Status Network
Any advanced tokenomics features (such as wrappers or additional reward mechanisms) will be detailed in the dedicated tokenomics section once finalise
