The Dojo — Orvex Reputation System
What is The Dojo?
The Dojo is Orvex's community reputation system. It tracks and rewards the people who make the Discord valuable — those answering questions, sharing knowledge, and helping others navigate DeFi.
Instead of moderator favouritism or who-talks-loudest dynamics, The Dojo gives every member a transparent, merit-based score that reflects their actual contributions. Help the community consistently, and your reputation grows.
How to Earn Reputation
You earn reputation by helping other members in support channels. There are two ways points flow in:
1. Automatic Detection
When you reply to a question with a substantive answer (30+ characters), an AI evaluates its quality. Answers scoring 6/10 or above are automatically tracked and added to your profile.
2. Community Validation
When other members react to your answer with 👍, ✅, 💯, or 🔥, you earn points. More validators means more points — and higher-ranked validators carry more weight.
The Resolution Bonus
If the original asker reacts with ✔️ to your answer, you receive a 1.5x bonus on that contribution's score. This is the strongest signal the system recognises — it means your answer actually solved their problem.
The resolution bonus is the highest-value single action in The Dojo. Aim to give answers clear enough that the person who asked can confirm their issue is resolved.
Your Reputation Score
Your score is calculated from four factors:
| Factor | What It Measures |
|---|---|
| Quality | AI scores each answer 0–10 on helpfulness, accuracy, and clarity |
| Validation weight | Higher-ranked members' validations count for more |
| Consistency | Regular contributors score higher than burst-grinders |
| Recency | Scores decay with a 45-day half-life — the leaderboard reflects who is active now |
The recency decay means a strong month from a year ago matters less than steady contributions this month. This is intentional: The Dojo reflects the community as it is today.
Tiers & Progression
There are four tiers. Both score and consistency are required to advance — you cannot reach Samurai by grinding 300 points in a single week; you must show up regularly over time.
| Tier | Requirements | Validation Weight | Discord Role |
|---|---|---|---|
| 🌱 Initiate | Starting tier | 1.0x | — |
| ⚔️ Apprentice | 75+ score, 20% consistency | 1.5x | Yes |
| 🥷 Samurai | 300+ score, 40% consistency | 2.0x | Yes |
| 🌑 Kage | 1,200+ score, 60% consistency | 3.0x | Yes |
Validation weight determines how much your reaction counts when you validate someone else's answer. Kage members carry 3x the weight of a new Initiate.
Consistency is tracked over time. Reaching the score threshold first and then trying to satisfy consistency retroactively is not how it works — the system evaluates your history continuously.
Streaks
Showing up on consecutive active days earns you a score multiplier on top of your regular points.
| Streak | Bonus Multiplier |
|---|---|
| 7 days straight | +10% |
| 30 days straight | +25% |
| 100 days straight | +50% |
Streaks compound with your normal score — if you are a Kage with a 30-day streak, your contributions are already worth a lot. Streaks reward the members who are consistently present, not just occasionally.
Wallet Linking
You can link your EVM wallet to your Dojo reputation profile using /wallet link. This connects your on-chain identity to your community contributions and sets up future on-chain rewards tied to your reputation score.
Wallet linking is optional — your Dojo score tracks without it. But linking is the step that bridges your Discord presence to the Orvex protocol's reward layer.
Commands
All Dojo commands are used inside the Orvex Discord server.
| Command | What It Does |
|---|---|
/reputation | View your own Dojo profile |
/reputation user:@someone | View another member's profile |
/leaderboard | See the top contributors |
/wallet link address:0x... | Link your EVM wallet to your profile |
/wallet view | See your currently linked wallet |
/wallet unlink | Remove your linked wallet |
Fairness & Anti-Gaming
The Dojo is built to be ungameable. Every obvious gaming vector has a direct countermeasure:
| Attempt | What The Dojo Does |
|---|---|
| Validating yourself | Self-reactions are ignored — they do not count |
| Trading validations with a friend | Circular validation (A ↔ B) is detected and penalised 50% |
| Running a validation ring | 3-hop rings (A → B → C → A) are also detected and penalised |
| Spamming contributions | Daily cap: 50 points. Weekly cap: 200 points |
| One person validating you repeatedly | After 3 validations from the same person, each additional one decays to a 20% minimum |
| Alt accounts farming points | Accounts under 14 days old give 50% reduced validation weight |
| Instant self-gaming on new messages | Messages must be 60 seconds old before they can be validated |
The caps and decay curves mean that the most efficient path to a high score is the intended one: give genuinely helpful answers, consistently, over time.
